ABOUT US
AKEMI MONO is based in Honolulu, HI and ran by two artists; Akio and Emiri — a couple who enjoy collaborating on their free time. They decided to start Akemi Mono as a passion project during the 2020 pandemic. Akio is a tattoo artist who works at Lilium Tattoo in China town, and Emiri enjoys graphic design and illustrating. They chose the brand name “Akemi Mono” because “Akemi” is their two first names combined, and “Mono” means “things” in Japanese.
